Agile organization - The world is changing rapidly. Technological innovations follow each other in rapid succession and entail completely different consumer behaviour. Companies and organizations often look for their purpose again. If you don't have an answer and you don't adapt, you disappear. Companies, and even entire sectors have now disappeared due to the arrival of smartphones, the internet and 3D printing.

The rate of change is happening at such a pace that companies struggle to renew and adapt in time. Rode? The internal organization is not yet attuned to the rapidly changing customer demand. For example, processes and procedures could be better streamlined. So that the internal organization finds a better connection with the external environment. The pace of change is often so fast for employees that they find it difficult to keep up with it, which can lead to resistance.

In order to keep up with all these developments and to continue to meet the renewed demand with the supply, companies are constantly on the move. There is no other choice either; if you fall behind, it's done. The problem lies with companies where the focus is too much internally focused instead of on the current wishes and needs of the target group. As a result, the customer may go to another.

To be one step ahead of the competition, an agile organization is needed. An organization that acts responsively, adaptively and constructively. Where effectiveness is high and attention is paid to continuously delivering customer value.

We call that Agile. The Agile approach is increasingly finding its way in business and has already been successfully applied in complex change processes.

In addition to the focus, the problem certainly lies in the approach. Reputable external agencies or interim managers are often deployed to locate the bottlenecks. Far too extensive reports about the past, which take up a lot of time and money. It remains to be seen whether the evaluation will subsequently also lead to an improved approach that is in line with current wishes. Let alone whether the advice is future-oriented. Of course things are being rectified and results will improve in the short term, but continuity cannot be guaranteed.

Agile Business Builders believes in an action-oriented approach. With a clear vision that provides direction and that pays attention to healthy teams. With the focus always aimed at continuously delivering as much customer value as possible.

The Agile organization

But what exactly is an agile organization? And what requirements do you have to meet to be allowed to call yourself an agile organization? Read more about the critical success factors associated with Agile here.

An Agile organization stands for an agile, compact and resilient organization. The customer and stakeholders are central to this and their needs are responded to in a timely manner.

Everyone works together to make the organization more adaptive and resilient. The aim is to meet the needs and wishes of the target group as best as possible. While implementing or executing projects and changes, it is clear to both internal and external stakeholders what will be delivered.

Another characteristic of an Agile organization are the self-organizing teams. These teams work independently and with pleasure on projects. The team is composed in such a way that each member brings his own specialism, so that all the necessary knowledge is brought together to deliver a result that meets the highest possible customer value=>. These so-called innovation teams work together in a multidisciplinary way and for a longer period of time, so that they get a common rhythm and get better and better as time goes on.

The Agile organization often uses Scrum, an Agile framework (or method), for issues where it can be of added value. This mainly concerns difficult or complex issues or change processes. Scrum provides a framework with clear rules and roles within which self-organizing teams deliver a tested and verified visible result in periods of one to four weeks, so that they meet the needs of the stakeholders involved.
