Providing an accessible competence model for everyone who plays a role in it
All aspects of PRAXIS are available for free via the web. For enthusiasts, the whole is also contained in a book, but this is not necessarily necessary. The information on the web is up to date and is continuously improved and enriched by the users of PRAXIS. Praxis offers simplified and accessible working methods for project, program and portfolio management.
In the past, this was only possible by, for example, separately introducing PRINCE2, MSP and MoP within the organization, and subsequently having all employees who played a responsible role in this process jointly and severally accredited by the IPMA or the PMI. This was often a complex, time-consuming and costly affair. Of all these methods, PRAXIS does not contain more than what is strictly necessary, and at the same time offers an integrated approach to projects, programs and portfolios. This makes it low-threshold and accessible. PRAXIS fits in well with Agile approaches.
We believe that PRAXIS is particularly suitable for organizations for whom PRINCE2, MSP and MoP are too complex and extensive, and for organizations for which previous implementations of PRINCE2, MSP and / or MoP have not delivered what was expected. Due to its simplicity and integrated approach, it is more likely that PRAXIS will truly become one approach and one language for all change initiatives within the organization.
Why PRAXIS from a training perspective
In the past, in order for an organization to achieve a certain maturity level in the field of project, program and portfolio management, it was often necessary to have employees certified for PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, P3M3 and IPMA or PMI. With the arrival of PRAXIS, this is all contained in one method, and therefore in one training and one exam. The fact that PRAXIS also discusses maturity measurements and provides guidance for the design of PMOs is a bonus. This can greatly reduce the costs of training and certifications.
How to implement?
PRAXIS does not conflict with PRINCE2, MSP or MoP. All previous efforts have certainly not been thrown away. Getting started with PRAXIS often starts with choosing the appropriate maturity level for the organization. After a relatively simple scan of the existing maturity, a difference analysis can quickly determine which elements of PRAXIS are superfluous and which elements should be given priority, and an implementation plan can be drawn up. Where necessary, employees can be trained. PRAXIS also offers short 'bridging' courses for anyone who is already familiar with PRINCE2, MSP and / or MoP.
