The collaboration with VluchtelingenWerk

From our safe, cozy office in Amersfoort, we can hardly imagine what that feels like. But if you do have to flee, you hope that there are people and organizations willing to help you.
So when the request from VluchtelingenWerk arrived, we didn't have to think about it for long. Yes, we want to help . What do you need?
The question from Refugee Work
Shortly before, VluchtelingenWerk had hastily built a website from scratch. They had collaborated with parties that fully embraced the agile working method . And wow, that went so fast, VluchtelingenWerk wanted to implement this way of working internally as well. This way, they could:

For this, VluchtelingenWerk received a fixed number of hours that they could spend, for example, on training, personal guidance, and support during a project.
Other parties who had also submitted a bid started sweating. “How much do we have to lower our prices to compete with those guys from Amersfoort?” Well, uhh, the rest is history. 😉
Refugee Work followed the AgilePM training.
As a result, employees learned the power of rapid iterations to plan and execute projects in short, manageable steps. By focusing on iterative work, direct feedback, and continuous alignment with stakeholders, you respond quickly to changes . That is exactly what they were looking for!
They also attended various workshops, and some employees even transitioned to the Scrum method . A successful collaboration in which, thanks to the tools learned, they maintained control over time, budget, and quality, while the team remained agile and flexible.
And you know what was really cool?
One of the other collaborating parties was already helping Vluchtelingenwerk selflessly. When Lagant stepped alongside them with the offer for zero euros, it created such a strong sense of solidarity: we are doing this together . Because that is the truth; we need each other in this world.
