The collaboration with VluchtelingenWerk
Leaving a better world together. That's what we do it for at Lagant. Unfortunately, sometimes the world isn't all that beautiful. Look around you at all those people who have become victims of war.
Imagine it happening to you. That you have to leave your native country
From our safe, cozy office in Amersfoort, we can hardly imagine what that feels like. But if you have to flee, you hope that there is people and organizations that want to help you.
When we received the application from VluchtelingenWerk, we didn't have to think about it for long. Yes, we want to help. What do you need?
The question from Refugee Work
VluchtelingenWerk had just launched a website at breakneck speed. They had worked with parties that fully embraced the agile way of working. And wow, that went so fast, VluchtelingenWerk also wanted to implement this way of working internally. In this way they could:
✅ adapt more effectively to changes
✅ achieve better results, supported by stakeholders
✅ stay within budget and planning
Lagant's solution
The tender process was short and powerful. Guus, our financial brain, put the amount of…
€0
For this, VluchtelingenWerk was given a fixed number of hours that they could spend on, for example, training, personal guidance and support during a project.
Other parties who had also submitted a bid started to sweat. “How much do we have to drop to be able to compete with those guys from Amersfoort?” Well, ehhh, the rest is history. 😉
Refugee Work followed the AgilePM training.
This taught employees the power of rapid iterations to plan and execute projects in short, manageable steps. By focusing on iterative work, direct feedback and continuous coordination with stakeholders, respond quickly to changes. That's exactly what they were looking for!
They also attended various workshops and some employees even progressed to the Scrum Methodology . A successful collaboration in which they kept control of time, budget and quality thanks to the tools they learned, while the team remained agile and flexible.
And you know what was really cool?
One of the other collaborating parties was already helping Vluchtelingenwerk free of charge. When Lagant stood next to them again with the offer for zero euros, gave such a strong sense of solidarity: we do this together. Because that's the way it is, we need each other in this world.
That's why we say: Do good? Let's just do it!
