AI-Powered Project Management training
Imagine the difference it makes if your business case, initial plan, risk analysis, and stakeholder analysis no longer take days, but hours. If your progress reports practically write themselves. If your steering committee update, escalation letter, or handover file reaches the level you envisioned in a fraction of the time. That is not wishful thinking. That is what project managers who master AI are already doing today.
In this one-day training, you will make that leap. No vague AI theory, no abstract promises, but concrete skills that you can apply directly to your own project the very next workday.

What this training will give you
Substantial time savings, every workweek. You will learn to strategically deploy AI on the tasks that take up the most project managers' time: documentation, reporting, communication, and analysis. What previously took hours, you will soon be able to do in a fraction of that time.
Higher quality of your project products. AI helps you work not only faster, but also better. Sharper business cases. More comprehensive risk analyses. Tighter steering committee reports. Stakeholder communication that strikes the right tone.
Trust instead of doubt. Soon, you will know exactly what AI can and cannot do, which outcomes you can trust, and how to recognize hallucinations and pitfalls. No more guessing whether a tool gives “the right answer.”
Comply with the AI Act from day one. Since February 2025, the European AI Regulation requires everyone working with AI to be demonstrably AI literate. After this day, you will have that knowledge and know where the legal and ethical boundaries lie.
Working safely with sensitive project information. You learn what you can and cannot feed to AI, so that customer, cost, and personnel data remain protected.
A personal step-by-step plan to take home. At the end of the day, you won't leave with a mountain of notes, but with a concrete plan: three to five applications that you will unleash on your own project tomorrow.
Why this training, and not a generic AI course?
There are countless AI courses, but most teach you “something with ChatGPT.” That is insufficient for a project manager. This training is structured entirely around your field. Every exercise, every example, and every case study is drawn from real-world project practice. The training follows the project cycle (from initiation through evaluation) and is generically applicable, regardless of whether you work with PRINCE2, IPMA, PMBOK, or Agile Scrum.
In addition, you work not only with general chatbots such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini, but also in a digital environment specially set up for Lagant. There, you practice safely with the course material and your own project case.
Start dates
Who this training is intended for
For project leaders and project managers who no longer want to watch AI change their field, but want to take control themselves. Whether you are just starting out or have been leading projects for twenty years: in one day, you will take your approach to the next level.
The practical frameworks
A maximum of 10 participants, ensuring ample room for your questions and case study. One full training day, preceded by approximately 1 to 2 hours of preparation (video material and case presentation). AI is not only the subject of the training; it is also the tool you will be working with throughout the day.
Do you want more than basic mastery, and, for example, build your own GPTs, deploy AI agents, or work in depth and on methodology-specific topics? Then our follow-up course, Masterclass AI-Powered Project Management, is the logical next step, with specific modules for PRINCE2, IPMA, PMBOK, and Agile Scrum.
Outline of the day
The training is structured into four blocks, with a clear progression: from the AI fundamentals to direct application in all phases of the project. Between the blocks, we briefly work on a case study of our own, ensuring that what is learned sinks in immediately.
Program
Block 1: AI Foundation for Project Managers
- What is (generative) AI and how does it work at its core? (briefly, based on the preparation)
- The AI landscape: chatbots, copilots, and specialized project tools
- Opportunities and risks: time savings, quality, hallucinations, bias, and dependence
- AI literacy and the AI Act: What do you need to know and do? (mandatory component since February 2025)
- Data, privacy and confidentiality: What can you and cannot you feed to AI?
- Prompt engineering, the basics: role, context, task, format, examples, iteration
- Validating AI outcomes: critically evaluate and recognize hallucinations
Block 2: AI in the startup phase
- Drafting and refining the business case, project brief and scope
- Stakeholder analysis and strategy with AI support
- Drafting one initial planning, milestones and WBS
- Support with the risk analysis: identification, qualification and response
- Practical exercise on your own case
Block 3: AI in the execution phase
- AI as daily assistant (agenda, prioritization, email handling)
- Support for monitoring and project control (time, money, quality, scope, risk)
- Project reporting (highlight reports, exception reports, dashboards)
- Stakeholder communication: steering committee updates and escalation messages
- AI at meetings: taking minutes, summarizing, and extracting action points
- Practical exercise on your own case
Block 4: AI in delivery, evaluation, and your next step
Preparation of project acceptance and the handover file
- Support with the project evaluation and lessons learned
- Practical tools and workflow integration: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, specialized PM tools
- A personal AI roadmap: What are you going to do differently tomorrow?
- Outlook and progression to the Masterclass
After completing this training
- Do you possess the relevant knowledge and skills to deploy AI responsibly and effectively in every phase of your project?
- Do you comply with the AI literacy obligation under the European AI Act and do you know where the legal and ethical boundaries lie?
- Do you master the basics of prompt engineering and know how to critically validate AI outcomes?
- Have you practiced on your own project case in the field?
- Do you have a personal AI roadmap that you can apply starting the next workday?
For Whom
Project leaders and project managers who want to apply AI in their projects in a targeted manner and with tangible results, regardless of the methodology used.
Foreknowledge
Knowledge and experience as a project leader or project manager. General familiarity with AI is helpful, but not required. Affinity with AI prompting is a plus.
