Grow from Lean Green Belt to Lean Black Belt
Do you already have a Lean Green Belt? With the four-day Lean Black Belt upgrade, you advance to the Black Belt level. You will learn to lead organization-wide improvement programs, with an emphasis on leadership, coaching, and change management.
The upgrade builds upon your existing Lean knowledge and focuses on in-depth, strategic topics: strategy and organizational development, leadership and coaching, process and performance, and digital transformation. The Green Belt component is not repeated.
You train in a classroom setting and apply what you have learned to real improvement projects. You conclude with the same internationally recognized LSSA Lean Black Belt certificate as the full training program.

Prior knowledge and study load
A completed Lean Green Belt is required for the upgrade. The upgrade is intended for those who already possess basic knowledge of Lean and wish to progress to the Black Belt level.
The upgrade consists of 4 training days from 9:00 AM to 17:00 PM and is part of the Lean Black Belt learning track (64 study hours for the complete course). In addition to the training days, you are expected to do self-study and complete two Black Belt-level DMAIC projects as the practical part of the exam.

Target audience
The Lean Black Belt upgrade is intended for professionals with a completed Lean Green Belt who wish to advance to the Black Belt level. The training is well-suited for executives and managers, project and program managers, and senior process improvers who want to drive improvement at the organizational level. A completed Lean Green Belt is a prerequisite for participation.
Result
After the upgrade, you will be able to set up and lead organization-wide improvement programs. You translate the improvement strategy into concrete plans, manage teams, and realize sustainable process optimization with a focus on flow and culture. You achieve the same level as participants in the full training and are prepared for the exam for the internationally recognized LSSA Lean Black Belt certificate.
The exam
The exam is the full Lean Black Belt exam from the Lean Six Sigma Academy (LSSA) and consists of a theory and a practical section. For the practical part, you will complete two Black Belt-level DMAIC projects in accordance with the ISO 18404 criteria for Lean Leader. The certificate is internationally recognized. In this variant, theory and practical certification are included in the price.
