Get started practically with Lean and improve immediately
During the Lean Yellow Belt, you will learn how to practically get started with Lean over two days. You will improve your daily work and make an immediate impact within your team and organization. You will learn to recognize waste and design processes more intelligently.
You will be introduced to Lean principles and get to work with powerful, immediately applicable tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, the 5 Whys, Pareto, and Kaizen. In doing so, you contribute to shorter lead times and more flow in your processes.
You train in a classroom setting, with plenty of practical exercises and game elements that support learning. The training requires no prior knowledge and prepares you for the internationally recognized Lean Yellow Belt theory exam from the Lean Six Sigma Academy (LSSA).

Prior knowledge and study load
You do not need any prior knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma. The training is open to any employee directly or indirectly involved in process improvement, regardless of department or position.
The training consists of 2 days, totaling 8 study hours, from 9:00 AM to 17:00 PM. In addition, you should allow for self-study in preparation for the Lean Yellow Belt theory exam. You complete this preparation at your own pace via the digital learning environment with instructional videos and exercises. You will receive an exam voucher.
Program
During the training, the following topics, among others, will be covered:
- Lean principles and recognizing the different forms of waste
- Workplace organization with 5S
- Mapping processes with process mapping and Value Stream Mapping
- Solving problems with the 5 Whys and Pareto
- Contribute to continuous improvement with Kaizen
- Preparation for the Lean Yellow Belt theory exam
Target audience
The Lean Yellow Belt is suitable for any employee directly or indirectly involved in process improvement. The training is intended for employees who want to implement improvements in their own work environment, for team members contributing to Green Belt or Black Belt projects, and for managers who want to build a Lean culture. You are also welcome if you are interested in the basic principles of Lean working. No prior knowledge is required, making the training accessible to employees from all levels and departments of the organization.
Result
After completion, you will recognize waste and be able to make processes faster and more efficient by eliminating waste and improving the flow. You will immediately apply Lean principles and several powerful tools in your work environment, impacting lead time and productivity. You will be prepared for the internationally recognized Lean Yellow Belt theory exam from the LSSA.
