Course candidates benefit from the STAP subsidy and thus strengthen their labor market position

Course candidates benefit from the STAP subsidy

'Lagant's course candidates have been able to strengthen their labor market position by mainly following the popular self-study programs of Lagant.' so says Orlando Heijmerink, director of Lagant Academy.

A few weeks ago, the STAP scheme and a number of course providers were in the news negatively. There were educators who saw the STAP scheme as a way to increase their profits at the expense of people who really wanted to get an education with the subsidy.

They increased the price of a course compared to the previous year (sometimes more than 17%) with the result that the subsidy pot was used up more quickly and as a result fewer people could make use of the STAP scheme. Ethically abject and deplorable.

At Lagant we have done everything we can to lower the threshold of our training and courses. Precisely by putting together a special range of courses and training. Packages that normally cost more than €1000 are priced below the STAP threshold of €1.000. As a result, Lagant offers an even better price/quality ratio, allowing more people to register for a course using the STAP scheme.

Have we benefited from the STAP scheme? Absolute! We have gained more students and, above all, many new customers, who appreciate our personal service and self study. The self study Change Management, Agile Scrum and Product Owner, ITIL and PRINCE2 are especially popular. People who could invest in their own market value thanks to the STAP scheme. And that's what we do it for.

The STAP scheme is intended for people between the ages of 18 and retirement age. The idea is that by following a course, training or education they can strengthen their position in the labor market. There have already been four application periods this year and the last application period starts on November 1.

At the last time on September 1, the counter opened at 10 am and 2 hours later the available budget was exhausted with 44.000 applications. A total of 160 million euros is available this year, with which at least 160.000 people can follow training. Next year, 200 million euros will be available in six application periods.

On November 1, it's 'now or never' if you still want to make use of the scheme in 2022. If you want to know more about applying for the STAP subsidy, click here https://lagant.nl/landing/stap-budget/
