Team coaches or Scrum Masters
It is therefore not surprising that team coaching is receiving more and more attention. Managers must set up a learning organization, team leaders become team coaches or Scrum Masters and employees must organize themselves towards good results for the organization. But how do you do that, how do you get the movement towards more room for initiatives from employees and better teamwork? That is the profession of the team coach.
In addition to experience with all kinds of techniques from frameworks such as Scrum, Lean, SAFe, the basic attitude of a team coach is especially decisive for the success in the teams. Groundbreaking discoveries in psychology, which today are referred to as positive psychology, provide insight into what that basic attitude is. The result of that basic attitude is:
- That you elicit team energy and thus ensure that professionals work together optimally;
- That the ideas of professionals predominate over the modest opinion of the manager or team coach.
“Permanent results from change”
As an organization of change guides, we know as Lagant that this is not easy. We have also noticed that training courses around PRINCE2®, IPMA®, Scrum®, SAFe®, AgilePM® and so on, only partially prepare participants for empowering teams. Although we are of course happy to help organizations with this task, we prefer to help internal employees of our customers to be able to do this ourselves. That is what we mean by “Permanent result from change” and what we stand for as Lagant.
A new booklet: “Unleash Team Energy in Operation”
In this context, we will be publishing a new booklet next month: “Evoke Team Energy in Operation”, a business novel about coaching leadership. Marianne has accomplished a lot since she started as a department manager a year ago. After a major merger, however, it seems to get stuck in the new rules from above and the invisible electric fence wire of the composite organization. Fortunately, she gets help from coach Lydia, who takes her into the world of positive psychology and self-organization. With simple scenarios and visual techniques she overcomes the difficulties in her path step by step. Keep an eye on our site for the book launch.
Our training “Agile Teamcoach Experience® Half year training
We have also developed the training “Agile Team Coach Experience® Half-year training”. A strongly experiential training with team learning as the central theme, with the aim of achieving better team results. One of the participants said: "I have learned how to create a growth mindset and thus get and keep going a continuous process of experimenting, learning and improving." Another participant said: "This training is very accessible and everyone contributes their own knowledge and experience, so that you also learn from each other." This training starts again in November.
