Ideally, you use your head to think and as little as possible to remember. So make sure you have a reliable work structure outside your head.
How do you do this?
- Keep a notebook handy. Write down individual tasks or ideas here. Or better: use the nice TODO and TADAA block from WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER. And there are also dozens of digital apps such as OneNote, Wunderlist, Trello and EverNote.
- Keep it central Limit yourself to one central list that is easily accessible. At the beginning of each day, choose a number of tasks here that you will work on. Hang this list in a visible place.
- Write down tasks with a due date in your calendar. This makes it easier for you to let go of them and you will come across them again in the future.
