Trainings, not a “golden hammer”

As an organization of change guides, we as Lagant know this all too well. Many organizations that are busy with change quickly reach for training. However, research shows that training is only the right tool for a very limited number of behavioral changes.

Change guides work at Lagant

Especially when it comes to really radical changes such as switching to a more Agile way of working or cultural changes, training is less effective. For years, we have been providing workshops in the context of projects and professionalization processes that we supervise with a lot of interaction and space for exchanging experiences and cyclical finding of the most suitable solutions together. With this we put employees and management teams in their strength. For example, we organized an interactive Agile @ Scale management workshop for BAM Infra Nederland, followed by an away day for all development teams and product owners within this department. A hilarious day with 50 people on the heath throwing ping-pong balls, blowing balloons, building kapla houses, discovering Scrum and of course delicious food.

More than just training

"Then why don't I see that on your site?" you may ask. So that will change from now on. Because we stand for “Permanent results from change” and then providing training - no matter how good they are - is just one of the means.
