In the world of project management, PRINCE2® is known as a leading method for managing projects. The new edition places a greater emphasis on human aspects, sustainability and modern project management practices. It provides organizations with the tools they need to effectively manage projects in a rapidly changing world.

At Lagant we offer an extensive range of training courses to help professionals excel in project management, including the latest editions of the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner certifications. Our PRINCE2® training courses, adapted from the 7th edition, provide an in-depth insight into this globally recognized project management method.

During the PRINCE2® Foundation training you will learn the fundamentals of the method, while the PRINCE2® Practitioner training prepares you to manage complex projects effectively.

Main changes in PRINCE2 7th Edition

People central: A striking addition to PRINCE2 7 is the new chapter 'People', which focuses on the human factor in projects. This recognizes the importance of effective teamwork and human dynamics in successfully completing projects.

Durability: In today's times of increasing attention to sustainability, the 7th edition also includes sustainability aspects in monitoring project performance. This allows organizations to integrate sustainability goals into their projects.

Practical examples: To clarify the application of PRINCE2 principles, new practical examples have been included. These examples illustrate how the method is applied in practice and help participants to better understand the theoretical concepts.

New management approaches: The 7th edition introduces new approaches to sustainability, commercial management and digital data management. This reflects the evolving needs of modern projects.

Changes in terminology: Terminology has been updated to keep the method current. In the new edition, themes are now called 'practices', and some theme names have been revised for clarity.

Logbook and Registers: To simplify the method, the terms 'logbook' and 'registers' have been combined into one 'project log'. This makes the documentation of project activities more efficient.

Design changes: The layout of PRINCE2 has been updated to improve readability and presentation. This makes the method more accessible to users.
